The piece of paper beckoned her from the moment she opened the office door. Each morning had been the same for the past week, a plain white sheet with one simple word written. She looked at the stationery then picked up the pile she had been collecting.

Setting todays word on the top of the pile, she paused to put the pieces together.
Crave

Gray, I like this....very intriguing and it makes you wonder what's going to happen next.
ReplyDeleteHowever -- one of my pet peeves is in here. "Stationary" is standing still. "Stationery" is paper. :)

ReplyDeleteGray...I really enjoy your style,,is it true one word can describe our mood...does that one word have more meaning if it is written or spoken?
ReplyDeleteSo sexy.
ReplyDeleteFantasia Lillith: After reading your work, I would love to see where you went with this!
ReplyDeletePlayfully Yours: Awee thank you!!
FG Sakes: I do believe it depends on who is speaking that word.;)
13Messages: Yes, yes it is!
Crave is such a decadently deviant word. The mere speaking of it feels like the conjuring of a spell, invisible fingers upon the loin, red nails on taut blue jeans, sighs as mist on the moor, far from town, far from anyone being able to hear moan or scream. :-D
